Situation:
A mechanical contractor needed help organizing, assigning, and managing labor resources for their project and service work. They needed one system to manage all their work. In addition, because everything was manual, their payroll and billing was a long and arduous process riddled with errors.
Complication:
They used multiple systems to bid, manage and bill their project and service work. There were so many manual processes involved that it was an arduous process to search for the correct information and then cut, paste, and type the information into separate systems when a job was set up. More manual entry continued through the delivery of services and billing. As you would expect, with many jobs being worked on all the time, mistakes were made along the way, and the company began to experience customer retention issues.
Resolution:
Our product allowed them to alleviate these giant hurdles and move them to a fully digital platform. It provided stability and could scale to support all future growth. By leveraging our mobile product, the client was able to schedule and dispatch with immediate visibility. This eliminated almost all paper as well as wasted trips to the shop for techs to get dispatched, and it was all done electronically. Both the service department and contract job department were delighted.
Also, the payroll and billing departments were ecstatic because time and materials were now being captured electronically in the field and immediately fed into their accounting system. The efficiency gain was monumental; their billing cycles were reduced dramatically, errors were cut down significantly, and paper was almost entirely eliminated from these processes. This was one happy mechanical contractor!
